Robin said in 2019 (not re-verified). Yesterday we used the city terminal. Very helpful staff and cheapest fuel in 100 mile area. Plemty of tie-downs. Two cars, well-maintained re-purposed city utility company Crown Vics. They don’t ask for fuel replacement as they do that themselves, but car use is 4 hour maximum and they request you don’t go more than 5 miles from airport. Fuel farm has two filling points – reduces the wait. BTW, they are currently closing the terminal at 5pm rather than 7pm – check hours.”

Upon receipt of proper documentation, contact will be made with the pilot to explain method of obtaining key, location of car and gate code.  Pilots will be expected to return the car clean and full of fuel.  The Airport Manager or his designee must be contacted by phone when the courtesy car is returned.

Late model and clean ex-police cruiser with airport logo and TX Exempt plates. Windshield wipers are fried and the washer unfilled, so be careful driving into sun. We put some fuel in after use (nearest gas is out on Hway 58N). Jefferson is a very pleasant old-timey town with lots of antiques shops, a vast general store selling everything from hats to ice-cream, and several restaurants. “Austin Street Bistro” is highly recommended; superb food and the best bread pudding in the State of Texas. 8/2024. Saturdays, the airport management can arrange for visits at other times.
