Negative comments on AirNav from 5/2024: “I fly a small private plane and needed to just land and meet someone for about 10 mins at the most, then leave. I did not need any services from the FBO. I called and asked for the manager. I explained my intensions and asked if there would be any fee for doing this. I was told that there would be a $20 fee for this but if I bought 10 gals of fuel the fee would be waived. Their self-serve fuel cost is 90 cents higher than my home fuel cost so I would still have to pay $9.00 and buy fuel that I did not need, to be able to use this public airport. Wasn’t this airport built with taxpayers’ dollars? If I needed to use their services I could understand, but I did not.

They take forever to provide any services even when there’s only 4 planes on the ramp. When you ask the CSR for anything, they’ll radio it over to the line guys but 8/10 times you’ll look into the Line shack and see everyone sitting on their phones as if it isn’t their job. They consistently double charge for services and you have to ask numerous times for them to finally decide to provide the service you asked for.”

Spoke with a nice gentleman from the county on the phone and he said that they are having issues with power company shutting of power on the weekends and other people are flying to another nearby field for fuel. Next time file a NOTAM! Fly somewhere else for your fuel or take a risk!”

Had I not caught their incompetence, this could have been a massive safety issue.”
